DETAILED TARGETING (New Features)

If you’ve used Facebook marketing in the past or are brand new to it, you are in for a treat!

Facebook is looking out for us business owners 🙂

They have recently improved one of their features when it comes to placing an ad and targeting the audience you want to promote your offer to.

This is great because in marketing, we always want to fine tune and target as detailed as possible in order to reach the right type of audience for our promotion, whether it’s an offer, a training, a free report, etc.

Under DETAILED TARGETING now, there are some new great features:

In the INTERESTS now, by NARROWing your audience, you can add a few options so that your ad can only be seen by people who like or have shown interest in all of the Interests listed. So it’s an AND now, not an OR (which was the past way of marketing your ads). Narrowing provides this AND feature. This is great because the person who is being showed your sponsored ad, will have had to have expressed an interest in the Interests you listed specifically.

For example, you could list where your audience would have to have an interest in Tony Robbins and then select Narrow Your Audience and select Jack Canfield. So anyone seeing this specific sponsored paid ad of yours, will have to have expressed an interest in the past with Tony Robbins AND Jack Canfield. In the past, it was either/or. So now the fine tuning is a lot more detailed. (They have to like Tony Robbins & Jack Canfield) (this Interest + this other Interest too).

You can also EXCLUDE People with this new feature.

For example, if you were promoting a webinar or a training video to people who like internet marketing, you could Exclude people who have shown interest in Network Marketing Pro, since these are most likely Network Marketers.

So all in all, I am very happy with these new additional features to the Detailed Targeting in Facebook Ads!
